The Oliv certified organic anti-oxidant skin care line comes from the beauteous valley of La Claree, the little-known olive-growing region in the south east of France. The Oliv anti-oxidant skin care line contains four active ingredients: olive leaf, green tea, edelweiss, and aloe vera.
The olive leaf extract, primarily sourced from local producers, is packed full of anti-oxidants that actively fight damage caused by environmental pollutants to reduce the signs of ageing. Its ability to combat free-radical damage efficiently de-stresses skin and promotes cell survival.
Medicinal use of the olive leaf dates back thousands of years. Ancient Eygptians and Mediterraneans had used it to treat a variety of health conditions. Olive leaves are packed with high-performance anti-oxidants like oleuropein, hydroxytyrosol, as well as polyphenols and flavonoids. The leaves harbour antioxidant properties that help protect the body from the continuous activity of free radicals that accummulate with age. Free radicals are highly reactive chemical substances that, when oxidized, can cause cellular damage.
Research has indicated that the anti-oxidants in the olive leaf extract is 400 times more potent than vitamin C, 50 times more potent than vitamin E and twice as potent as green tea.
Green tea, edelweiss, and aloe vera work in concert to strengthen the anti-oxidant action of the olive leaf and provide long lasting hydration of the skin.
Oliv is certified by Ecocert. It is free from genetically modified material, synthetic colouring, synthetic fragrance, parabens, phenoxyethanol, and animal testing. The products come in recycled and/or sustainable packaging.
